A CHURCH leader in Tavistock has called on members of his congregation, whatever their political persuasion, to exercise their right to vote at the genral election. President Derrick Jones, of the Tavistock branch of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, has encouraged his congregation to ?recognise the privilege of having a voice in choosing those who govern us?. He said: ?The Church does not support any party or endorse any candidate for election, but our worldwide leaders have encouraged us to study the policies and choose good men and women of character, integrity and ability.?
