IT’S that time again when we start to think about the nights drawing in, the cold weather and yes, dare we say it — Christmas.
Anyone thinking about Christmas shopping will be certain to have Tavistock Dickensian evening on their list of things to do. The Times will be publishing its Dickensian supplement — the essential guide to the evening — on Thursday, November 19 ahead of the event on Friday, November 27.
The Times will, this year, be honouring the 30% discount price for anyone advertising in the supplement which in the past few years has been offered by the Tavistock Business Improvement District (BID).
Once again we will be running a competition for budding artists to design the front cover of the supplement so get your thinking caps on and come up with a seasonal design to wow readers.
Entries have to be in by November 2 and the winning artist will receive a £25 WH Smiths voucher.
To be eligible you have to be between five and 14 years of age. The drawing, which should be portrait sized, will be printed in mono, not colour, so bear that in mind when you take pen to paper.
Either email your entries to the Times General Manager Carol Simpson at [email protected] or post or drop them into the Tavistock Times office at 14 Brook Street, Tavistock, PL19 OHD.
