KELLY Choral Society and Orchestra present their Christmas Concert this year on Saturday, December 6 at 7.30pm in Tavistock Parish Church.

The programme includes two of Handel?s beautiful and festive Chandos Anthems composed for the Duke of Chandos in 1717 and originally performed in the private chapel of his palace.

The main work is to be Haydn?s well loved Little Organ Mass so called because of the virtuosic solo organ part, to be performed by Tavistock organist Mary Mazur-Park. She is joined by the renowned local soprano Elaine Rockell and tenor Barry Farley.

The musical menu is completed with Christmas favourites including Berlioz?s ?The Shepherd?s Farewell? and a selection of popular carols. The evening?s performance will be under the baton of well-known local conductor Andrew Wilson.
