WALKERS are invited by Dartmoor Preservation Association to join members on a walk following the china clay down from the pits near Cadover Bridge through all the processes at the Shaugh Bridge works, before exploring the iron mine and ferroceramic works near the bridge.
Walkers will then climb the tracks up to the granite quarries, to emerge at the prehistoric Dewerstone Fort, returning to Cadover via the antiquities on Wigford down.
This five-mile walk starts at 10.30am on Saturday, January 22. Meet at the car park below Cadover Bridge (SX555 646).
