A TEAM of firefighters from Hatherleigh tackled a chimney fire in Northlew last Sunday evening. A bird?s nest in the chimney caught fire at a farm in Northlew. The incident highlighted the importance for homeowners of ensuring their property?s chimney is regularly swept. The crew, called at around 8pm, were at the scene for around an hour.
