Duchy League 4 east

St Dominick Res 4

Chillaton B 5

IF THERE was a game of two halves, then this was it. After a quiet start Chillaton opened the scoring when Paul Breyley headed in a rebound from an Andy Bartlett free kick.

There followed a period of total dominance by the visitors.

Kev Pethick ran in an Andy Faulkner cross. The prolific Breyley having hit the crossbar with a thunderous drive then deceived the keeper with a long range shot to grab his second.

Rob Tremblett then made it four before half-time, firing into the roof of the net, leaving Chillaton well on top.

Manager Steve Lethbridge made changes and after starting the second half brightly and missing easy chances, the pattern of the game changed.

St Dominick converted a couple of scrambled chances then scored an excellent goal to make it 4-3.

With tension mounting Richard Howell scored a fifth for Chillaton, only for the home side to pull a goal back right on time.

Chillaton were relieved to have broken their losing run while St Dominick can take credit from an excellent second half comeback.
