CHILLATON villagers said thank you to their popular postie yesterday who has been delivering the post in and around the parish for 15 years and has given 28 years in total to the Post Office.

Geoff Francis was given a good send-off by local residents who presented him with a collection and passed on many good wishes for a long and happy retirement.

Knowing he was a keen golfer Deborah and Howard Ashbridge from the village organised the collection and handed over a golfing gift voucher. Other residents also made their own collections.
