Lewtrenchard Manor Hotel general manager Sarah Parkinson and head chef John Hooker presented a cheque to Pat Coxson of the Children's Hospice South West for the newly-opened Little Harbour hospice at Porthpean near St Austell.
This brings the total donation from the hotel's new year charity lunches to nearly £1,200.
The hotel's support for the charity continues this month with a special fashion show and lunch next Thursday (March 29).
Little Harbour, which opened last December following a mammoth £5 million fund-raising effort over the previous three years, caters for the medical and welfare needs of young people aged 0-18 years with life-limiting conditions.
It also provides respite care for the hard-pressed families of these special children from the Plymouth, West Devon and Cornwall region.
Members of local communities are welcome to visit and find out more of the work of the hospice on the first Monday of each month (pre-booking is essential by calling 01726 871800.
