Standards were high at Milton Abbot village show this year.

Children's had strong entries with Kirsty Cox taking the prize for the highest number of points in the children's classes and the prize for the child gaining the highest number of points in the children's cookery and handicraft classes.

Previous winner Matthew Stone took the prize for the child with the highest number of points in the children's flower classes. His brother, Alistair, had the best exhibit in the children's classes.

Penny Haigh had the best exhibit in the art classes, with the highest points in the art classes going to Margaret Hooper.

Lorna Stroep-Nielsson had the best exhibit in the photography classes with Richard Metters gaining highest points in the photography classes.

The highest points in the handicraft classes was shared by Liz Padmore, Kay Stone and Lorna Stroep-Nielsson with Liz Padmore winning the best exhibit in the handicraft classes.

Liz also won the prize for the best set recipe and the best exhibit in the cookery classes.?She shared the prize for the highest points in the cookery classes with Lorna Stroep-Nielsson. Lorna was the overall winner for the lady with most points in the show.

Julie Gale won the highest points in the floral art classes with Amanda Randel gaining the prize for the best exhibit in the floral art classes.

Julia Martin had the best exhibit in the flower classes and also scored highest points in the flower classes. Geoffrey Willetts had the best rose in the show.

Andrew Lopes won the highest points in the vegetable classes, highest points in the fruit classes, best vegetable in the show and was overall winner with the prize for the gentleman gaining the highest points in the show.
