MARY Tavy and Brentor Primary School had a Pond 'making' Day recently, creating a pond in the school grounds.

The school received brilliant support from a large number of parents who worked incredibly hard on the construction of the pond.  

Thanks were also expressed to Rob Taylor and volunteers from Dartmoor National Park and Peter Stacey from Heathfield Farm who filled the pond with water.

There was a great atmosphere at the field and the children really enjoyed their afternoon, especially when the Fire Brigade arrived to finish filling up the pond.
