CHILDREN at Exbourne Primary School have been enjoying special music lessons thanks to the Okehampton Learning Community.

Throughout October pupils at the school have had workshop sessions with music consultant Martin Kent, learning to play the djembe drums. The four week project has been funded by the OLC, with Exbourne Primary being the first school in the OLC catchment area to receive financial support for music lessons.

As well as learning to play instruments the children wrote their own song and performed it to parents and family at a special concert at the school on November 1.
