The Chiefs? none existent tackling led to a series of run away tries in the first half. After the turn round the home side relaxed into some good passing rugby moving the ball around well in close support play. Tavistock spread their 13 tries around eight players with Thompson scoring a hat trick, two apiece for Morgan, Snell and full back Rufus Gould as well as one each for Elliot Hoyte, Dan Oner, James Lockley and George Rogers. Prop forward Joe Hair unusually made it onto the score sheet by converting the eleventh try with a casual drop kick.
