THE chief executive of a Bere Ferrers based senior level recruitment firm has come first in her age group in the national 2002 Swimathon ? which is organised to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Nick Cutts of Barton International was one of more than 32,000 swimmers throughout the country who took part last March.
She was one of 5,237 who swam the 5000m distance ? 200 lengths of a 25m pool ? and her time of 1 hour 29 minutes 3 seconds put her inside the top 3% nationally.
Nick completed her swim at Kelly College swimming pool and her number one placing was achieved in the 50-59 age group.
Over the years Nick Cutts has raised over £5,000 in sponsorship money for the event.
The 2003 Swimathon ? from March 17-23 ? will give 85% of money raised to Macmillan Cancer Relief and 15% to The Swimathon Foundation. Anyone wishing to support the cause or enter the event can contact 0845 36 700 36.
There are challenges for everyone, from the serious individual swimmer to those who enjoy swimming as part of a team.
