MEMBERS of the Okehampton branch of the Labour Party visited Okehampton Hospital on Wednesday last week to present a cheque for £502 to FORCE, the charity providing chemotherapy at the hospital. The money was raised at a community party to celebrate 70 years of the NHS held at the Ockment Centre last month. Branch chairman Ray Aplin also presented staff at the hospital with a 70th birthday card for the NHS, signed by partygoers with heartfelt messages of thanks to NHS staff.
