MASTER chef Peter Gorton was at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth on Friday, to donate almost £7,000 to the Primrose Breast Care Unit.

Peter raised the money through hosting a 'Primrose Ball' and donating the proceeds from charity lunches held at his restaurant, the Horn of Plenty, at Gulworthy, near Tavistock.

In addition to presenting the cheque, Peter was given a tour of the unit by members of staff.

Pat Coghill, breast care specialist at the unit said: 'We are very excited to be visied by Mr Gorton. He has raised a very significant amount of money for the unit and we just can't thank him enough.

'We'd also like to thank Mr Gorton's customers at the Horn of Plenty, who made the donations.'
