DARTMOOR Brewery is celebrating success, after clinching a top national award.

The brewery won the three-star gold accolade at the national Great Taste Awards 2011. Known as the Oscars of the food and drink industry, of 6,000 products entered from all over the country, less than 100 won the very top award – a three-star gold.

Head brewer Mike Lunney said he was thrilled with the three-star golds won by his new beer Legend, made at the brewery in Princetown.

He said: 'We only started making Legend just over 18 months ago and it has proved very popular. But to get an award of this calibre really is the icing on the cake.'
