Bere Alston Res 8
St Minver 2
BERE made hard work of dismantling the visiting team. Their sluggish start was not what they had come to expect with their recent run of good form.
Endean was the catalyst for the kick-start Bere desperately needed. He led the way with an exquisite through ball which released Gaul down the left flank to deliver an inch-perfect cross for Glen Anderson to smash home his first of the season.
Minutes later another Endean assist sent Charlie Hone racing through the opposition to slot home calmly.
Bere?s third just before half time was a replica of the opening. Gaul, weaving his way down the left flank, squared the ball to Hone to pass into an open net.
The second half saw a different Bere. With wingers Liddicott and Gaul looking menacing, the visiting defence were contradictory. Endean kept up his outstanding goalscoring record from midfield with his 15th of the season.
St Minver caught the Bere defence napping and scored their first.
The comeback never emerged and Bere?s dominance and thirst for goals saw them camp in the opposition half for the remainder of the game.
With Hone blasting home an awesome volley and calmly nutmegging the keeper to bring his tally to four, Bere were enjoying this win.
Left back Tony Martin headed in from close range but the best goal of the afternoon saw Rob McKinnon waltz through the entire St Minver team to finish in emphatic style.
Bere gifted a second consolation goal in the dying seconds.
Bere have now won seven games in a row ? a new club record.
