TO GET enthusiasts in the swing ahead of the pub chess season an Individual Lightning Chess Tournament is being held at the Devonshire Inn, Sticklepath on October 8.
Newcomers will be welcome and one of the reasons for holding the event is to drum up some more players for the pub chess league.
There will be no teams but several rounds of individual matches with moves every ten seconds — exciting stuff!
