OKEHAMPTON continued their challenge for the top position in the Exeter Sunday Youth League with a win over Exmouth.
In a first half which initially saw both teams racing from end to end Okehampton began to take control of the game and spent the remainder of the half in the Exmouth end of the field.
Okehampton had several good shots on goal from Bradley Ausden, Harry Smith and Paul Gent .
The second half began with a good run from Bradley Ausden and Harry Smith slid the ball into the back of the net.
The second goal was scored by Jacob Ayris after a good cross from William Searle. Andrew Collier made a strong run up the field crossed the ball and Bradley Ausden scored to make it 3-0.
Exmouth made several shots on gaol and Okehampton's Paul Winthorpe made an excellent defensive stop the saved a certain goal.
Exmouth were awarded a corner moments later and scored their only goal of the game. Okehampton sealed the match with an excellent header from Paul Gent.
