OKEHAMPTON couple Helen Kidd and Neil Palmer are pictured setting out on their 30-mile trek from Lyme Regis to Exmouth on Saturday last week, July 14.

They raised more than £900 for FORCE cancer charity, which provides chemotherapy at Okehampton Hospital.

‘The walk was really tough in places especially as it was so hot but the scenery, the sponsors and the good luck wishes helped us through,’ said Helen. ‘We have raised over £900 for FORCE and we’ve still got money coming in. We were just so relieved to reach Exmouth that we kicked off our shoes and had a paddle.’
