VOLUNTEERS are being sought for the Princetown-based pony charity South West Equine Protection. The charity rescues ponies on Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor which may be injured or emaciated, or have been involved in a traffic collision. Help is required for their charity shop on Embankment Road in Plymouth, and at their stable yard near Yelverton which includes general duties: feeding, and ?mucking? out the stables. The important position, urgently needed to be filled, is the loan pony co-ordinator. The duties include pony files be kept up-to-date, organising the re-homing of ponies, and home checks. SWEP says it may suit someone retired who may want to occupy their time. For any information on the positions contact Maureen Rolls at SWEP on 01822 890668.
