THE Okehampton United Charity this week announced further grants to benefit organisations in the Okehampton area. Grants have been given to South Devon Women?s Aid, Get Changed Theatre Company, Two Moors Festival and smaller grants including a bus shelter for residents of The Glen. The Educational Foundation has made major grants to support OCRA in 2008 and provide a building for music education at Okehampton Primary School. Support has continued for counselling services provided by Young Devon and smaller grants have been made to Young Musicians Support, Twinning Association, Girl Guides and Army Cadets. The charity said that its income has increased in line with expectations and the Trustees were considering support for a number of major projects in the town.
