A NEW look has been given to Buckland Monachorum primary school's 2009 duck race, following the success of the event last year.
St Andrew's Primary School PTA is organising this year's race on Monday, May 4 at the school from 10.30am to 1pm.
Following the success of last year's event, the PTA is hoping to attract more traditional games for all the family.
PTA member Zoe Moore said: 'Some of last year's new attractions such as the roller coaster rides kept children entertained all day. Morris dancers proved a huge hit as did the Drake's Dash, a new attraction in 2008 which proved to be a very popular run with over 100 entries, so we are anticipating a larger crowd this year to this already well established event.'
Unfortunately the school field is out of bounds to cars, which means no 'car booters' this year. But craft, plant and produce stall holders are invited to take part this year. Anyone who would like a stall should call Lizzie on 01822 853691, before April 17.
