A FAMILY have raised £4,000 from a charity auction named after their son who twice survived meningitis in the first couple of months of his life.

Albert Manning is now seven months old and was christened at Lamerton Church prior to Albert's Charity Auction at Lamerton Community Centre recently.

His parents Kate Jarman and David Manning wanted to hold the event in aid of the Derriford Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Meningitis Research Foundation and have expressed thanks to everyone who donated items and supported the auction.
