AN IMPROVEMENT to local bus services should come into play from next Monday as DAC coaches revise their Callington to Tavistock route.
The new 263 route will run regularly between the two towns as well as serving Harrowbarrow, Metherell, St Ann?s Chapel, Calstock and Gunnislake.
The revised service will run at times convenient to shoppers and commuters alike and will avoid the current, unpopular arrangement where passengers are required to change buses at Gunnislake.
Nick Smith from DAC said: ?Earlier this year the direct service from Callington to Gunnislake was withdrawn by the previous operator but we have decided to restore this route after numerous requests from customers.
The revised service will provide six buses each day from Callington to Tavistock, running at two hourly intervals from Monday to Saturday.
More information and timetables can be obtained from DAC on 01822 834571.
