BONNETS, chocolate bunnies and freshly baked buns abounded at Aalen House Nursing Home in Okehampton to celebrate Easter. A special programme for residents included making Easter bonnets and garlands, and staff handed out chocolate bunnies while the smell of the buns pervaded the air. For those unable to attend local church services, a lounge was converted into a 'church annexe' and Easter services watched on a large plasma screen television. Manager Jan Hazell said: We have a highly dedicated care team here, who put a lot of extra time and effort into special events. 'The departure from normal daily routine creates a vibrant atmosphere in the home.'
