WANTED: a builder for Sticklepath Fireshow — organisers are spreading the net in their search for this year's Master Constructor.
November 5 is fast approaching for the Sticklepath Fireshow committee, who have found all the usual suspects unavailable this year.
Have you ever been to the Guy Fawkes night extravaganza in previous years and think you would like to have a go?
If so the committee wants to hear from you.
A builder experienced in general building techniques with a good knowledge of health and safety issues and an ability to direct volunteer helpers is needed to build the stage which is burnt down at the end of the evening in a dramatic finale.
It is expected that construction will start during the first weekend of October and continue for two to three weeks.
The committee has a rough idea of what it would like to see but there is plenty of scope to bring new suggestions to the table and liaise with the show's artistic director.
Help and support will be provided and the committee is able to provide limited remuneration for loss of earnings whilst constructing the stage.
If you are interested please contact co-ordinator Dave Goodwin on 01837 840136 or Mike Jecks on 01837 840589 as soon as possible.
