HORSE lovers with spare time on their hands are being asked to consider volunteering to help wild ponies.

The South West Equine Protection (SWEP) is a small charity which helps wild Dartmoor and Bodmin ponies.

SWEP runs a rehabilitation yard looking after up to 20 ponies at a time. The charity is looking for volunteers to help with general yard duties, which could lead to some handling of the ponies but no riding.

Anyone interested in volunteering can email [email protected]">[email protected] or contact Adele Cassidy on 07780 673672.
