THE Chalk Farm Band of the Salvation Army will be in Tavistock Parish Church on Saturday and Sunday June 2 and 3.
This famous group's last visit was in 1987.
Since then the band has toured Spain, Australia and several other continental countries. Last October saw the band in Japan — the first British Salvation Army corps band to have this honour.
The Chalk Farm Band, also featuring Michael Clark on piano, is at St Eustachius Parish Church at 6.30pm on Saturday, tickets on (01822) 616650. On Sunday at 10.30am the band takes part in the Tavistock Methodist Church service, and the inter-church Pentecost Rally at St Andrew's Church, Buckland Monachorum at 4pm.
