THE wedding of Tricia Rundle, second daughter of Fred and Marg Rundle, of Higher Gorhuish, Northlew, and Michael Vernon, only son of Roger and Pauline Vernon, of Okehampton, took place at Northlew Church on July 7. The Rev Stuart Wilson conducted the service. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a Mori Lee beaded chiffon gown ivory dress, beaded/diamante bodice with full skirt and a long train. She carried a bouquet of cream Calla lilies. She was attended by Gill Spry, chief bridesmaid, Jackie Davey and Sarah Taylor, friends, and Claire Packer, bridegroom?s sister They wore teal dresses, bodice and skirts, and also carried Calla lilies. The bridegroom?s twin nephews, Liam and Joshua Parker, were pageboys. Best man was the bridegroom?s best friend, Martyn Taylor. The bride is a senior recruitment consultant at Adecco Recruitment, Exeter, and the bridegroom an accountant at Heinz, Okehampton. At the ceremony the bride?s sister Celia read a poem, and her friend Roz Stainer-Smith read a lesson. The bridegroom, who is a regular Okehampton Argyle FC first team player, talked family and friends into a five a side match before the evening celebration! The bride and bridesmaids were driven to the church by the bride?s brother, Mark. The bridegroom and best man arrived in a Mini convertible. After a reception at the Waie Inn, the couple left for a honeymoon in the Maldives. They will continue to live in Exeter.
