MEMBERS of the Dartmoor Challenge Group gathered together to celebrate the group's 20th anniversary recently.
The Dartmoor Challenge Group has been annually organising a 30-mile hike over the 368 square-mile Dartmoor area to raise money for charity for the past 20 years, and held a presentation evening at the Plume of Feathers in Princetown in celebration of the anniversary.
This year the hike has raised around £6,000 with more still to be collected.
The group has raised money for a number of cancer charities over the years but has made Derriford Children's Cancer Unit its main charity over the last ten years or so.
Since forming, the group has raised around £107,689.
Group founder Steve Parker was also celebrating after being awarded an MBE for the amount of money he has raised for charity.
Steve said: 'I was stunned. The MBE isn't just for me, it's for the whole group, without them we wouldn't have been able to raise so much.'
