A TRADITIONAL Cornish festival to celebrate Midsummer's Eve takes place at Kit Hill tonight (Thursday).

The Tansy's Golowan bonfire celebrations begin at 8pm with music including the Calstock Rubber Band before the Callington branch of the Old Cornwall Society takes over for the ceremony, in Cornish and English, starting at 10pm.

There will be catering on site and parking for around 500 vehicles.
