PLAYING to full houses all across Devon are a trio of musicians, Piaffinitee, based in Devon and dedicated to the memory of the legendary French singer Edith Piaf. They will be appearing at Bere Ferrers Church Hall on Saturday at 7.30pm with an evening of her Parisian songs . Piaf?s songs live on with Piaffinitee and in the sensual, evocative voice of Biarritz-born Djamila. Djamila, accompanied on accordion by Basil Bunelik and on guitar by Maxine Green, is very well known for her work with Charlie Hearnshaw Quartet. Her voice conjures the atmosphere of the bars and boulevards of Paris. The local organisers of this event are keen to create a French café atmosphere and the ticket price includes food. So dust off your beret and striped t-shirt, bring a bottle and settle back for a Parisian-style evening of good music and fun. Tickets ? adult £8, child £5 ? from The Lanterna, 01822 840380 or Anne 841464.
