OKEHAMPTON United Charity marked another fruitful year with a celebration evening on December 16.

Held in the Charter Hall, the celebration involved all the groups and organisations who have received funding from the charity in the last two years.

During the evening there were performances from Okehampton Music Centre, Downfall, Chaos Gym and Daisy May Perkins.

In 2015 the charity has awarded grants in excess of £300,000 to benefit residents of Okehampton and Okehampton hamlets. As well as supporting a wide number of organisations, the charity gives grants to local schools and residents undertaking post-16 education not available at Okehampton College, work-based apprenticeships and university courses.
