STEP back in time to celebrate Dartmoor?s rich cultural heritage during a special weekend of events and activities organised by Dartmoor National Park Authority.

The celebrations ? which run from Friday to Monday, September 10 to 13 ? will include a rare opportunity to visit the traditional Grade 1 listed Dartmor longhouse at Higher Uppacott, owned by the Dartmoor National Park Authority. Free admission but booking is essential ? telephone (01822) 890414.

The family can learn about Dartmoor?s water power and join in an action packed duck race on the Devonport Leat. Free admission but booking essential.

The Church House at South Tawton will be opening its doors to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This grade 11 listed building was built in the late 15th or early 16th century by the local community for use as a brew house and place to meet. Admission free.

The military is also joining in with a series of events at Okehampton Camp on Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12.
