Whitchurch ladies v Sandford ladies

WHITCHURCH ladies cricket team secured their first win of the season in a home fixture against Sandford.

Sandford batted first but Whitchurch bowlers were in good form with Mel Leach and Olivia Hodge both taking three wickets.

In a good fielding performance catches were taken by Gill Northey, Ang Hunt and Ann Ruddock and Sandford were all out for 78.

Captain Cathy Griffin showed the way with the bat scoring 44 not out while Mel Leach and Rebecca Snowball also batted well for Whitchurch to reach there target with plenty of overs to spare
