Axminster ladies v Hatherleigh ladies

HATHERLEIGH Ladies cricket team had an excellent win on Sunday in their league match against Axminster.

Hatherleigh won the toss and put Axminster into bat and they posted a score of 156-6, despite some good bowling by the Hatherleigh bowlers. 

Wicket takers were Kirsty Tidball 2-13, Clare Reynolds 2-15 and Leanne Drew 2-31. 

With Hatherleigh requiring just over 4.5 runs per over Catherine Williams and Clare Reynolds opened the batting.  Both girls batted superbly and scored the required runs of 157 without losing a wicket and with nine overs remaining.  Clare finished on 48 no and Catherine on 40 no.
