HATHERLEIGH, Okehampton and District Cats' Protection is on the lookout for local residents who are willing to help the animals in its care.
Workers for the charity are appealing for help in three areas: for potential owners to help re-home older cats desperately in need of homes in the Okehampton area; for donations of any unwanted tins, pouches or packets of cat food to be placed in a collection bin at Mole Avon; and for anyone with some free time on their hands who would like to help at various events.
Anyone who wants to help set up coffee mornings in aid of the charity and who has the use of a car to carry goods and books can phone branch co-ordinator Pat Sawyer on 01837 55409.
