YEAR 1 pupils at Okehampton Primary School have been hard at work this term, learning all about castles. Children have created drawings and castle models for the exhibition, as well as shields and a coat of arms. As part of the project, youngsters visited Okehampton Castle to find out more about the Courtenay family who lived within its walls, and how they defended themselves within the castle walls.
