CASH grants for a variety of educational, social or sporting purposes are shortly to go on offer to young people in the Sticklepath and Belstone areas.
The Sticklepath and Belstone School Charity was established in 1999 and aims to promote the education, social and physical training of young people under the age of 25 in the two parishes.
Since its establishment, the charity has donated more than £15,000 in grants, including awards to South Tawton Primary School of £5,700, £350 to Belstone Colts and £2,200 to South Zeal Scouts.
The charity has also provided assistance to individuals, which has helped provide equipment for sport or music or support in out of school activities for which the young person shows a particular talent.
Applications for this year?s grant awards should be addressed to the Trustees and sent to Mr R Tilley, Clerk to the Trustees, Battershay, South Zeal, Okehampton EX20 2JP, to arrive no later than Wednesday March 31.
