SCHOOLS in and around Okehampton are being given the chance to apply for £1,000 of building materials through RGB Building Supplies' Well Built Community Fund. The fund aims to give groups and projects the opportunity to complete work they would have otherwise been unable to do. Rob Allen, operations manager at RGB Building Supplies, said: 'RGB has been operating in the region for over 150 years and the Well Built Community Fund is our way of giving something back to the area that has continually supported us. 'The previous nominations that we received from charities and sports clubs highlighted that there are some fantastic groups in the local area and we are looking forward to receiving details about how we can help our local schools.' Schools can nominate themselves by contacting RGB Building Supplies and explaining what project they need building materials for and how the support will be of benefit to them. One school will be chosen from all the nominations to receive £1,000 worth of materials. Nominations can be made by emailing [email protected]">[email protected] or by sending a letter to RGB Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, PO Box 167, Bideford, Devon, EX39 9DU.  The closing date for nominations is Monday, October 6.
