AN evening of musical entertainment was in store for the audience at a recent fundraising event for Tavistock's Riding for the Disabled Carriage Driving Group.
Liskerret Male Voice Choir and Spanish Guitarist Mark Barnwell combined to entertain a large audience, with the event raising £1,082 for the charity, which aims to raise £8,500 to purchase a four-wheeled carriage.
The proposed vehicle, which they hope to have in service for next spring, will be purpose built and will be more comfortable for the disabled drivers, most of whom drive in their wheelchairs, as well as for the pony.
The Charity is grateful to everyone who helped make the concert such a success, especially the choir and the soloist for giving their time and talents so generously. They also wish to thank the many local businesses who contributed raffle prizes and advertising.
Enquiries about either the fundraising appeal or volunteering with the charity are welcome via the group organiser on 0845 450 6911.
