A CHILDCARE group in Bere Alston has been awarded funding to take the project forward.
Action Bere Childcare, which aims to provide a purpose-built area at Bere Alston Primary School for Bere Valley playgroup. and wraparound care for 2-11-year-olds, has been awarded funding through the Coastal and Market Towns Initiative with match-funding from West Devon Borough Council.
The school and Devon County Council are currently identifying a suitable site and will be visiting similar projects to come up with the best possible design brief for the architect.
