A WEST Devon school has been entertaining guests at a local hotel in the lead-up to Christmas.

Twenty children from St Andrew's Primary School in Buckland Monachorum sang Christmas songs and carols to guests at the Moorland Garden Hotel where party guests, Sunday diners and visitors to the Dartmoor Bar got into the festive spirit.

The primary school has recently attracted the attention of national celebrities and local businesses as they joined forces to launch a cookbook to raise vital funds for the school. Children were also able to offer the cookbooks for sale at the event and several people placed orders.
