There was a scare in the first few minutes when Dee gave away a penalty, but Webber made a heroic save to keep the score level. After many Tavistock attacks Bray finally scored to break the deadlock. Another chance went begging when a strong run from midfield by McCall, followed by a good ball into the box was just out of reach of Pratt. Kelly made a superb run up the right wing beating three players but the final cross was poor. At the beginning of the second half McCall danced through the Railway Beacon defence to bend the ball into the top corner of the net. Derbyshire and Webber decided to change places as the celebrations were taking place. Sam T, with his first goal of the season made it three nil from a Chris Bray corner. At the other end Peck gave away a second penalty but Derbyshire remained untested as Railway Beacon blasted the ball over the bar. Court was booked when he pushed the face of a Railway Beacon player. He then redeemed himself by scoring from the half-way line. McCall then hit the cross-bar from long range and Bray had a shot just pushed over by the goalkeeper.
