FUN for all will be guaranteed in Okehampton this Saturday as the town welcomes the colourful sight of the annual carnival procession.

The day will begin with a coffee morning in the Charter Hall at 9.30am. Judging of the children's fancy dress takes place in the hall at 1.15pm, to be followed by the crowning of the prince and princess, Toby Hunkin and Bethany Green, by the mayor at 3.05pm in School Way. The children's procession will then leave School Way at 3.15pm.

The judging of the evening procession takes place at 6pm, with the town centre closed to traffic between 6.45pm and 8.45pm.

Carnival queen Katie Bolt will be crowned at 7.05pm outside the Masonic Lodge in Mill Road, with the carnival procession leaving to make its way around the town at 7.15pm.

Anderton and Rowlands will also be providing traditional fairground fun in Simmons Park.

All funds raised by this year's carnival will be donated to Okehampton and District Community Transport Group and Otters Swimming Club.
