YOUNG Devon, a young carers' project, has asked Okehampton Town Council for a donation towards one of its projects.

The voluntary organisation, formerly the Devon Youth Association, supports and deliver services to young people living in Devon. It asked the council for financial assistance towards the cost of carers taking those they are caring for out on visits.

At a meeting of the council's policy and resources committee members decided to ask Young Devon for more information.
