A FIRE crew was called to a report of a car on fire on the A30 near Lifton last Thursday.

The crew from Launceston attended the incident just after 6pm.

The engine compartment of the vehicle was damaged by fire and the crew used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish it.
