IF the impressive reviews in the national music press from the likes of Prog Rock Magazine and Classic Rock are anything to go by, the female fronted symphonic progressive rock band Karnataka will certainly win over the audience for their debut show at The Wharf, Tavistock tomorrow (Friday).
The five-piece band are out on a 26-date European tour promoting their new album Secrets of Angels which features eight brand new tracks and showcases a more dynamic and symphonic direction and propels the band to majestic and powerful new heights.
Recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in London the album culminates in the 21 minute opus and epic track Secrets of Angels.
Karnataka rose to the forefront of the female fronted rock scene with the release of their landmark album Delicate Flame of Desire.
Their follow up and critically acclaimed album The Gathering Light won best international album at the World Prog Awards.
The band’s stunning performances have entranced and captivated audiences across the UK, America and Europe and also seen them perform alongside prestigious artists such as Robert Plant and Porcupine Tree.
