TAMAR Valley artist Ryan Rodgers from Drakewalls has been chosen to exhibit one of his paintings this month at the Creekside Open Exhibition in London.

The exhibition has been selected by Dexter Dalwood, who was shortlisted for the Turner prize in 2010 and who was represented in a one-man show at the Tate St Ives last year.

More than 900 artists from the UK submitted works for consideration and Mr Rodgers is delighted to be one of the 63 who were chosen for the May exhibition.

He is a member of the artists' group Drawn to the Valley and the landscape artwork, which is oil on canvas, is entitled 'Wall'.
